There's not much to say about this album. Thy Art is Murder are back doing what they do best. Human Target is a brutal, unrelenting, expression of anger, hatred, and violence brilliantly brought together and played masterfully in one of the heaviest albums of the year. Pumped full of aggression, each and every song is full of menace and ear-shattering deathcore magnificence. Every instrument is manipulated to the extreme in order to produce the dirtiest, heaviest, most abrasive finish possible. CJ McMahon's lyrics express frustration with politics in the aptly named 'Make America Hate Again', he attacks instagram influencers in 'New Gods' and in 'Chemical Christ' he focuses on drug addiction. The entire album is an epic attack on society and also your ear drums. In a good way. Compared to FFAA's Sea of Tragic Beasts, I would say that Human Target is not as broad and varied with it's approach however, it is an incredible album exhibiting some of the most amazing instrumentalism heard in 2019.
